NO DISGUISES

Because I am unable to do that last month before my wedding workout, I have been paying extra attention to my eating habits.  Still no calorie counting! In doing so, C picked me up some Lean Cuisine meals for me (per my request) to be able to take to work.  He did a great job!

I have to give today's blog spot to Lean Cuisines and their awesome flavor and taste!!  Today was Chicken Chow Mein for 4 g. fat, 240 cal., and 3 g. fiber.  And also the perfect amount to not leave you hungry.

Sending my kudos and keep up the good work!

GOODY BAGS

I just completed my 2nd goody bag.  I received this pattern from Lion brand yarn weekly emails.

They are so fun and easy with so many color options.  I am using my old yarn that is a bit scratchy but so fun in color.

I think that one will be shipped to MT for a cute little girl's upcoming birthday.  I cant wait to figure out what to put in it.

Stay tuned for Grandma's tea towel completed last night also.  :)

GREAT DAY WITH GREAT COMPANY

I am now onto my 3rd foot surgery and my projects are in full swing.  So far I have completed my first baby sweater, my first touch-me-not towel and a tea towel.  This is my one week count so far, now only five more to go.

I spent yesterday having a great, relaxing time with a great talented lady I have been honored to call friend.  She is so talented in her quilting room.  I loved seeing all of her completions and cant wait to see what is yet to come.  Shh...dont tell others, but she even shared some patterns!!  How lucky am I?!!  Many thanks to her for a great time.

Tonight is new tv and the start of a new tea towel.  Snow storm is on its way, so everyone stay warm and safe.

PRECIOUS PURPLE

I was able to finish my first baby sweater this weekend.  Always takes a bit longer for me when I have to travel to get matching ribbon and button.  This project was fun as I learned new casts and stitches along the way.C is getting a bit nervous as I finish off my baby blankets, sweaters and burp towels.  :)  No worries! Wedding first.
Today's projects will be finishing up some dolly blankets and then I'm not sure.
What's on your Saturday to-do list?

THINK SPRING

Despite the new snow we received on Friday, Spring is in the air , in my house anyway.

I purchased a new starter kit this year that included dirt discs.  I am a bit sceptical of them, as they required quite a bit to get some of them broken up.  I am hoping they contain enough fertilizer to make it worth it.  I also added some old, dried coffee grounds.

I planted cucumbers, squash, beans, snap peas, carrots, lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, corn and a fun combination of flowers.

I'm excited to watch it all grow and even more excited to put them in my garden.  I will be planting them as Mrs. Charles Okerson this year!!  :)

Happy Thoughts of Spring to all!

AFTER 30 PLUS YEARS....

...I have decided to do the girlie thing and buy myself some decent make up and brushes.  I can already see the looks on my friends faces when they see me use this stuff.  Heck, the look on my face will be worth a thousand words in itself!

To quote a friend of mine, it is your skin and there are no re-dos!

I am excited to try it all out, but will wait until I can kick this cold and nonstop runny nose.

Makeup I will do, but forget the high heels and mini skirts for this woman!!

DAY DREAMING....

I am getting things checked off of our wedding list all while day dreaming of where I will be sitting in less than 60 days!  Everything will be done and checked off when I get to sit and enjoy this view as my last days as Tara Jean Brodkorb.  I practiced signing what will be my new name the other day and have decided that even though my last name will change, I will always be a Brodkorb!  With all of the changes, it is nice to know that nothing will really change.  I will always be Daddy's little girl and my mom will always be my best friend.
What changes will remain the same for you?

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I happen to stumble upon this website last week. It is fantastic and I highly recommend it for any and all dog parents! I am hoping to replace these toys for the expensive shoes our puppy has come to prefer lately. I was also able to purchase some travel bowls to leave in our vehicle. I hate having to drag their big food bowls around and I got these for a quarter of the price that I was expecting to have to pay at the big sporting stores. Aren't they such fun patterns?! Watch the site for specials and free shipping offers.
Off to enjoy muffins I baked early this morning while waiting for the hot water to replenish after C.  :)

Have a great day and stay warm!
